CVMP2013 Highlights

The 10th Anniversary CVMP lived up to expectations. A great couple of days was had by all. Amazing talks and loads of networking in the breaks.

A highlight of the conference was the insights given by Framestore and PrimeFocus on their work on Gravity. 'Totally mind blowing'was the general response!

Congratulations go to Alasdair Newson, Matthieu Fradet, Patrick Perez, Andres Almansa & Yann Gousseau for their paper 'Towards fast, generic video inpainting'which won the Google Best Student paper prize

Pierre Moulon, Bruno Duisit, Pascal Monasse won the NVIDIA best student short paper prize of a GeForce Titan with 'Global Multiple View Color Consistency'

Thanks to fxphd, some of the presentations were filmed this year. Have a look at the one below from Wil Braithwaite of NVIDIA discussing 10 years of GPUs in VFX.
